Scott Grayson

Sports Anchor

Scott Grayson joined the FOX 29 News team in June 2019 as a sports anchor.  In addition to FOX 29 newscasts, including "Sports Sunday" and the FOX 29 On Deck and FOX 29 Postgame Reports, he hosts "Props & Locks," a weekly show covering sports wagering.

Prior to joining FOX 29, Scott covered the Philadelphia Eagles for 97.3 ESPN-FM in South Jersey for five years.  After a short stint at KLST-TV in San Angelo, TX, where he began his broadcasting career as a sports anchor and reporter, he moved north to man the sports desk at WTAJ-TV in Altoona, PA, then WHP-TV in Harrisburg, PA.  In 2005 he moved to Morgantown, WV, to lead the sports department as sports director at WBOY-TV and wvillustrated.com.

Born in California, Scott’s family moved east to Chester Springs, PA, when he was young.  A graduate of Downingtown High School, he’s a life-long Phillies, Eagles, Sixers and Flyers fan and understands what that means and how agonizing it can be.  He played many sports growing up, but realized a career in professional sports was not in his future and decided to make a living covering them.

He attended Arizona State University and graduated with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Broadcasting & Journalism in May 2000.

Scott has been a moderator at the National Association of Broadcasters conference and won the Associated Press "Best Sportscast" award for WHP-TV.

Scott and his wife Stephanie, a graduate of Temple University Medical School and a Neonatologist at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, live in South Jersey with their four children.  He loves playing golf and spending time with his family at the pool, or on the sidelines, cheering on his kids at a baseball, basketball or soccer game.
