Breland Moore

Breland Moore joined the FOX 29 News team in May, 2021, as sports anchor. Along with "Good Day Philadelphia" co-host Mike Jerrick, she also co-hosts "The 215," a weekly program showcasing the people, places, and things that make the Philadelphia area truly unique.

Prior to coming to Philadelphia, Breland spent two years covering the Super Bowl LIV Champion Chiefs for KCTV in Kansas City. She began her TV career at Service Electric Cable TV in Allentown, PA, before spending three years covering the Buffalo Bills at WHEC in Rochester, NY. In 2018 she was nominated for an Emmy Award for "The Bills are Back," a special about the 2017 drought-breaking Buffalo Bills playoff game.

Born and raised just out I-76 in Reading, PA, Philadelphia-area sports have always been a staple for her. Breland spent most of her childhood hanging out with her grandfather at local hockey games: Flyers, Phantoms, Reading Royals and Hershey Bears. During the summers, she was always at FirstEnergy Stadium, working for the Reading Fightin’ Phils, and interned with the Philadelphia Flyers during college.

A graduate of Muhlenberg High School and Temple University, Breland proudly represented both her alma maters as her "alter egos," the Muhlenberg Muhl and Temple Owls mascot Hooter. She was also Blooper the Hound Dog at the Reading Phillies and Slapshot at the Reading Royals, where she also performed the National Anthem at games.  Breland a.k.a. Hooter was a frequent guest on Good Day Philadelphia! 

Breland is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists.  She loves her cats Winnie and Mac, cooking, music and karaoke, naming Etta James’ "At Last" her go-to song.
