Gritty nominates himself for TIME Magazine's 'Person of the Year'
PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - It's that time of the year -- the time to wildly speculate over who will earn the title of TIME Magazine's 'Person of the Year.'
President Donald Trump? Dr. Christine Blasey Ford? Colin Kaepernick?
All could conceivably be on TIME's shortlist of nominees. But who would be a better representation of the chaotic times in which we live than the incomparable hockey mascot who took the world by storm this September?
Gritty, a seven-foot, orange, fuzzy creature, captured Philadelphia's heart after the initial confusion wore off. The most cold-hearted among us never stood a chance with those googly eyes.

"Who should be TIME's Person of the Year for 2018?" the magazine tweeted.
Gritty tweeted his response: "It Me."
Hard to argue with that logic.
