Family desperate to find NJ man reported missing after fishing trip
OCEAN CITY, N.J. (WTXF) - Police are asking for the public's help locating a man reported missing from Ocean City, New Jersey.
Samuel DeLarso, 53, was last seen in the early morning hours of Saturday, Oct. 20 before leaving his home in Somers Point to go crabbing.
A 12-hour Coast Guard search for the missing father and grandfather over the weekend was unsuccessful.
"Everybody's reaching out to us asking if we need anything but, we just need him back," said Samuel's daughter, Samantha.
Police located Samuel's truck where his family says it is often parked, still loaded with fishing and crabbing gear on West Newcastle Road.
"His cooler isn't even on the beach. If he'd gone crabbing and got swept away, he would have left things onshore," Samantha told FOX 29.
Samuel is described as 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans with a button-down shirt and waders.
"Please, if anybody even thinks they may have seen him, please call with whatever lead you may have," Samantha asked. "Because we don't have any."
