Horsham couple recounts panic during Las Vegas shooting
Horsham, Pa. (WTXF) - Among the 22,000 concertgoers along the Las Vegas strip Sunday night was a Horsham couple who are on their way back to Philly tonight
Katie and Bob Fuhrmeister were at the concert towards the back of the audience when those shots started to ring out. They thought it was fireworks, but quickly realized it was gunfire. They both ran as fast as they could. At one point, Bob kicked open a fence so people could escape. Katie suffered a sprained ankle. Tonight, they are taking stock in just being alive.
"Life is meant to be lived. It's meant to make happy memories even though you get bad ones now and then you can't let it spoil the rest of your life," Katie said.
The Fuhrmmeister's are on their way back to Philly and expected to be back in the morning. They tell FOX 29 this is something they are going to have to live with the rest of their lives. But right now, they say they just want to get home and see their kids.
