Lansdale Woman Accused of Stabbing Her Husband
Lansdale, Pa. (WTXF) A woman has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing her husband.
Police say on Tuesday, November 10th, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Acorn Street, in Lansdale Borough for a stabbing.
According to police, when officers arrived at the front door they could hear a man screaming from inside the residence. After a forced entry, officers located a 42-year-man victim lying on first floor bathroom floor. The victim was covered in blood and had a spurting arterial upper back/shoulder area wound. Officers provided first aid. Police say the victim reported that his wife, 43-year-old Michelle Everett, had stabbed him and he did not know where she was.
Officers began clearing the home and found three minor children in an upstairs bedroom. According to police, officers found Michelle Everett, hiding underneath a blanket in the basement and she was taken into custody.
The victim was transported to Abington Main Hospital.
The victim told police that Michelle Everett stabbed him in the shower in the second floor bathroom with a kitchen knife after which he was able to disarm her, according to investigators. Police say the victim attempted to flee the residence and Michelle allegedly retrieved a second knife from the kitchen and stabbed him again on the first floor. Detectives say they recovered two kitchen knives with blood on them in the kitchen sink.
The minor children were placed in protective custody under the care of Montgomery County Children and Youth Services.
Michelle Everett has been charged with attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a weapon, simple assault, REAP, possession of instrument of crime and harassment.
She's being held on $500,000 bail.
