Dad's happy dance after son finishes month of chemo captures the internet's heart

Kennith "Clutch" Thomas has a lot to dance about.

His 15-month-old son Kristian Thomas came home from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Saturday after spending the last 32 days there for chemotherapy treatment.

Kristian, who was born with Down syndrome and a blood disorder, was diagnosed with leukemia earlier this year.

When Kennith got word that his son cold go home, he couldn't contain his excitement. Kennith immediately broke out into a happy dance to Ciara's "Level Up" by his son's crib as the baby watched on gleefully.

Kennith, who has been documenting his son's battle with leukemia on Instagram, posted video of the joyous moment. Unbeknownst to him, the 'levelupchallenge' hashtag he included--an ode to the song and Level Dance Complex studio he co-owns with his wife in Pennsauken--was already an established social media trend. Flocks of social media users have accepted the challenge, posting videos of themselves busting a move to the upbeat single.

The video quickly grew traction, even capturing the attention of Ciara herself. On Sunday, the singer tweeted kind words alongside Kennith's video.

"My [heart] can't take it watching this proud father dancing doing the level up challenge because his baby's numbers were up. God is good."

"We're dancing for you too angel. Let's level up against cancer together," the singer added.

Kristian, along with parents Kennith and Josilyne, 14-year-old sister Aliyana, 9 year-old brother Caleb and 4 year-old brother Javion, joined Good Day Philadelphia Wednesday to share their story.

Kennith plans to continue documenting Kristian's battle using the hashtag #FightKristian. The next step for Kristian's doctors is to determine whether the chemotherapy is working. A bone marrow test is slated for Wednesday.
