Police: Man, 21, shot and killed in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in North Philadelphia Monday night.

Around 9:45 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the 1800 block of North Bucknell Street for a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, police learned that a white Dodge Charger recently left the scene, potentially with the victim inside.

Police stopped the vehicle at 17th Street and Montgomery Avenue and were able to transport the victim, who sustained gunshot wounds to the head and leg, to Temple University Hospital.

The victim, identified as 21-year-old Nasir Debnam of North Judson Street, was pronounced dead a short time later.

No arrests have been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
