Organization in Puerto Rico aims to rescue hundreds of animals, bring to mainland US
An animal rescue organization based in Puerto Rico is on a mission to transport over 200 animals to the mainland US, following the devastation from Hurricane Maria.
All Sato Rescue is hoping to transport the animals on October 8, to partner shelters in Maine and Massachusetts.
The rescue organization is currently raising funds online to help with the cost of the travel. The online fund had over $11,000 at time of writing. A video shared by the rescue on Twitter showed hundreds of animal crates waiting on the airport runway. All Sato Rescue is hoping to eventually be able to transport over 300 more animals.
