Police ID teen killed in Germantown quadruple shooting

Philadelphia police have identified the 16-year-old who died in an East Germantown quadruple shooting on Tuesday as Jai Custus of Pastorius Street. Three others were wounded in the incident.

It happened shortly after 8:30 p.m. on the 100 block of E. Pastorius Street in East Germantown.

The victims were taken to the hospital by police in a scoop and run.

According to police, Custus was shot once in the side. He was taken to Albert Einstein Hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly before 9 p.m.

Police say an 13-year-old girl was treated for a graze wound to her right arm. She is believed to have been caught in the crossfire. An 18-year-old man was treated and released for a graze wound to his side. A 19-year-old man was shot multiple times in the torso and legs. He was taken to the hospital where he is in critical condition.

Police say two of the victims ran into a home on East Pastorius. Police are going to hold that crime scene and wait for a search warrant. Police do not have a description of the shooter at this time and no weapons have been recovered.
