Police in Langhorne investigate the discovery of two bodies inside a home

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTXF) - Police in Langhorne are investigating the discovery of two bodies in a home.

Officials say two bodies were found in a home on the 1300 block of Newtown-Langhorne Road Saturday, January 13. Police say the call came in the form of a welfare check around 4 p.m. Police also say that nothing criminal appears to have taken place in regard to the bodies.

Investigators say they found the owner of the home, a 66-year-old female and a 57-year-old male who had, apparently, been staying in the home. It is thought the two may have been dead a few days and possibly up to a week.

Middletown Township Police, support staff and the Bucks County Coroner's Office are investigating the possibility of a problem with a propane fireplace. They are checking the heating system and looking into possibilities of carbon monoxide. Authorities say the investigation is on-going.
