Police seize nearly $17M worth of drugs in last quarter of 2018

The Pennsylvania State Police announced Thursday that nearly $17 million worth of cocaine, methamphetamines, heroin, fentanyl and other illegal drugs were seized in the fourth quarter of 2018.

State police seized nearly 224 pounds of cocaine, 26 pounds of heroin and almost 50 pounds of fentanyl.

Altogether, the illegal drugs have a combined street value of $1,498,430.

In 2018, over $66 million of illegal drugs was removed by the Pennsylvania State Police. This included 197 pounds of fentanyl.
