I-95 cleared in both directions after car fire, crash

Emergency crews responded to a car fire on I-95 near Philadelphia's Port Richmond neighborhood Friday morning. A short time later crews were on the scene of another incident involving multiple cars in the northbound lanes.

Firefighters continued their efforts to put out the fire as it sat in the left-hand lanes of the southbound side of the highway near Allegheny Avenue.

Traffic was delayed on that side of the highway as crews classed all but the far right-hand lane to traffic.

FOX 29's Bob Kelly says drivers can expect delays of more than an hour while crews continue to try and move the damaged vehicle.

SKYFOX was over the scene of another accident in the northbound lanes that involved multiple vehicles.

That accident occurred in a construction zone not far from where the car fire broke out in the opposite lanes.

All lanes have since been reopened in both directions.
