Authorities identify New Jersey man, 54, killed in skydiving mishap
MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Authorities have identified a New Jersey skydiver who fell to his death in southern New Jersey when his parachute apparently failed to deploy.
Paul Haaf, Jr., 54, was found around 5:25 p.m. Sunday on Brookdale Boulevard in Monroe Township. Haaf was a Monroe Township resident.
Authorities say the man had jumped from a plane operated by Skydive Cross Keys just after 5 p.m.
The company says the man was an experienced skydiver with more than 1,200 jumps to his credit.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office is investigating the accident with assistance from the Federal Aviation Administration.
