A 13-year-old girl received a special honor in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps on Saturday.

Alongside her family, Philly-based non-profit, Teach Anti Bullying, presented Jasmin Samba with the "National Anti Bullying Medal of Courage."

Pottstown Police recently arrested two men, Makael Bevins and Ahnile Fountain, both 19, for riddling her family's home with bullets back on March 24th.

Jasmin's mother, Marie, says the violence was result of her daughter being bullied at school.

"For a long time I felt like I stood alone in this fight, so to know that other parents are doing this for their children as well, when their children don't have a voice, it makes me feel good as a person, as a mom to know I have the support to support my daughter," says Marie.

Dr. Claudio Cerullo, Founder of Teach Anti Bullying, also presented Jasmin with brand new sneakers and a sweatshirt.

Their goal is for Jasmin to go on and empower others to stand up bullying as she has.

"This is what it's all about, it's about standing tall and having the courage and the strength to help someone else who has been a victim," says Daniela Cerullo, Executive Director.

Bevins and Fountain will be back in court on April 24th.

The Pottstown School District says it's working with police.
