A dangerous night on the roads left one person dead and five others injured in three separate Philadelphia crashes.

The first crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. Sunday in front of Paul's Retirement Community on the 9900 block of Bustleton Avenue in Bustleton.

Police say 23-year-old Oleksandr Lysenko, of Northeast Philadelphia, was speeding when he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a utility pole. He was hospitalized in critical condition before ultimately succumbing to his injuries.

Two passengers in the car at the time of the crash, a 29-year-old woman and 35-year-old man, were also hospitalized. Police say the woman suffered minor injuries, while the man remains in critical condition.

Just after 1 a.m., a two-vehicle crash on Roosevelt Boulevard and North Mascher Street in Feltonville left two women injured. An SUV driver reportedly crashed into auto parts stacked up on the side of an auto parts shop.

Another two-car crash shortly after 1 a.m. at Ryan Drive and Academy Road in Northeast Philadelphia left one woman hospitalized. She is reportedly in stable condition.

All three crashes remain under investigation.
