GLOUCESTER TWP., N.J. - A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting at a shopping center in Gloucester Township, prosecutors announced Friday.
Jose Rios Jr., 19, has been charged with one count of first-degree murder, one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon, and one count of second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
Police responded to the area shortly before 6 p.m. on Dec. 3 for a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as Mark Dodaro, 36, of Blackwood, was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
During an investigation, detectives located surveillance footage that captured the incident. Witnesses identified Rios as the shooter, according to investigators.
Rios was located in Washington Township on Friday and taken into custody.
