$1 million Mega Millions ticket sold at Wawa in Bucks County
LANGHORNE, Pa. - It's a millionaire Monday for one lucky winner in Bucks County!
A winning Mega Million ticket was sold at Wawa at 639 East Lincoln Highway in Langhorne for Friday's drawing.
It was worth $1 million after matching all five white balls, but not the yellow Mega Ball.
"Our PA lottery rep came in this morning. He came in and said pull your report, so apparently only one store in PA sold one, not just retailers, but there was only one sold," said Shaun O’Malley, general manager of the Wawa.
There was a buzz in the store all day Monday.
"Obviously, the staff got excited. ‘Who is it?’ Everyone was eagerly checking their tickets, but unfortunately, it wasn’t me," said O’Malley.
While locals are anxious to find out who the new millionaire might be, Wawa will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket, half of which will go to a good cause.
"Half goes to the store for recognition. Half to our associates need funds to fund associates in times of need," said the general manager.
Happy winnings to the new millionaire!
The Mega Millions jackpot has rolled to $97 million for the next drawing Tuesday.
