The L.E.A.D. Carnival, held at the Concord Mall, has been cancelled after a deadly shooting over the weekend.

A fight took a deadly turn, claiming the life of a teen, when police say a suspect opened fire during a carnival in Wilmington Saturday night and organizers with the carnival have opted to shut the event down.

Two teens were found shot when officers arrived at Concord Mall in Wilmington around 10:45 p.m.

They were transported to a local hospital, where the 16-year-old died and a 17-year-old is in critical condition.

Carnival chaos: Teen killed, victim assaulted at 2 different carnivals this weekend

One teen is dead, and another injured after one carnival fight led to a deadly shooting; while police completely shut down another carnival in the area after a group of "unruly" juveniles assaulted a victim.

During the fight, police say a suspect fired several shots, hitting the teens, then fleeing the scene.

Organizers of the carnival were initially hopeful to keep the carnival open, but ultimately made a Monday afternoon decision to shut it down.

The suspect's description has not been released, but Delaware State Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.
