NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Philadelphia police say they have arrested and charged a teen after he allegedly fired paintballs from inside a home on the 1500 block of W Diamond Street in North Philadelphia.
According to police, on Sunday around 1:56 p.m., officers responded to the radio call.
Police say two males reported that they were walking with a group of friends east on the 1600 block of W. Diamond Street when an unknown person shot them both with a paintball.
Investigators say one of the males reported that he walked over to a house that had paint markings on it and knocked on the door. According to police, a young juvenile male came to the door with a paintball gun and allegedly began firing at him again; however, the male was not struck. The juvenile male then ran back into the residence on the 1500 block of W. Diamond Street, according to police.
Police say they observed four individuals exiting the property on the 1500 block of W. Diamond Street. According to investigators, the offender was subsequently positively identified and placed into custody without incident. The residence was held pending a search warrant.
Police say a 16-year-old male has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Possessing An Instrument of Crime, Simple Assault, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.
