2 hospitalized after shooting near Philly middle school: officials

Gratz Prep Middle School became the scene of a double shooting early Saturday morning.

The violent altercation happened at the intersection of 17th and Luzerne streets, just after 3:15 Saturday morning, officials said.

Police found a 26-year-old man with three gunshot wounds to his legs. They found another 26-year-old man with one gunshot to his right leg.

Police rushed both of the men to Temple University Hospital to be treated. They are both listed as stable.

The shooting was on the sidewalk outside of the middle school, as video showed multiple evidence markers and police tape surrounding the corner.

A full investigation is underway.
