2 hurt after tanker truck crashes, catches fire on I-95 ramp in Bensalem
BENSALEM, Pa. (FOX 29) - Two people are in critical condition after a tanker truck full of gasoline overturned and caught fire on an I-95 exit ramp Thursday morning.
The crash occurred on the I-95 northbound exit ramp to Woodhaven Road around 10:30 a.m.
Bensalem police say the tanker was carrying 3000 gallons of gasoline when it overturned on the ramp and burst into flames.
Two men inside the truck, the driver and a passenger, suffered severe burns and were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Firefighters were able to get the flames under control in about an hour despite a shortage of water in the area of the crash.
