One man was found dead after a 3-alarm fire raged through a Southwest Philadelphia rowhome.

Firefighters and emergency personnel responded to the 2500 block of South 67th Street Wednesday night around 10 p.m. Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke.

24 hours after a fire ripped through the home, neighbors identify the victim as 26-year-old Matt Sidebothom. They say the young man lived at the Southwest Philadelphia home with his mom and twin brother, Chris. Both left for work minutes before their home went up in flames.

Darrell lives across the street from where the fire happened. He and other neighbors reported hearing multiple explosions just before 10 p.m.

Darrell says he called 911, then ran across the street --yelling--hoping to get everyone out.

"It burned fast next thing you know it's engulfed you couldn't get close to it," he said.

Firefighters placed the fire under control quickly but spent the night at the scene investigating.
