PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - A violent overnight in Philadelphia saw three separate shootings within an hour, one of them fatal.
A 23-year-old man was shot just before midnight on the 4200 block of Tackawanna Street in Frankford. The victim succumbed to his injuries at Temple University Hospital around 2:45 a.m. Authorities say at least 17 shots were fired overall by someone who fled the scene.
Just after 12:15 a.m., a 32-year-old man sitting on the front steps of a home was hit at least once in the leg in a drive-by shooting. The incident occured on the 600 block of West Huntingdon Street in North Philadelphia. The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.
Just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, a shot fired into a building on the 3000 block of North Bonsall Street struck a 27-year-old man in the head. He's hospitalized in critical condition. Police say they are searching for three male suspects who allegedly fled the scene in a black Chevy Impala.
No arrests have been made in connection with the three shootings.
