House fire in Wissahickon kills 75-year-old man

A 75-year-old man was found dead after officials say a fire broke out on the third floor of a home in Wissahickon.

Fire crews responded to a fire that left one man dead, and another person injured Sunday night.

Heavy fire was reportedly seen coming from the third floor of an apartment on Sumac Street around 11:13 p.m.

A 75-year-old man was found inside and pronounced dead, according to officials. Another victim, a woman in her 60s, suffered smoke inhalation due to the fire. She is in stable condition after being transported to a local hospital.
