MANTUA, N.J. (FOX 29) - Crews battled a large fire in Mantua overnight after a fleet of trash trucks caught fire.
The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. at the Mantua Public Works Complex. Officials believe it stemmed from a mechanical issue.
Eight garbage trucks were effected, with five of them destroyed. Mantua's fire chief estimates the fire caused around $2 million in damage.
Authorities expect a delay in garbage removal services as a result of the damage.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
