A 90-year-old great-grandmother is making history by becoming the oldest person to graduate from the University of Chicago. June Patinkin started taking classes at the university in the 1940's when she was just 16 years old. She then traveled abroad, met her husband, eloped, and eventually made her way back to Chicago to raise her five sons.

In her younger days, June admits that she wanted to become a foreign correspondent. Now she jokes about the next step after graduation.

"One of my sons said when I was completing this program, he said, ' well you know Ma, now that you're getting your degree, you'll have to go out and get a job," Patinkin said, laughing.

June wasn't planning on wearing a cap and gown this weekend. She actually hasn't been inside a classroom at all in recent years. Turns out, she actually earned all the credits needed back in the 1940's! So the school is offering her a chance to pick up the diploma in person.

She'll be escorted across the stage by one of her grandchildren.
