Summer deals calendar: Schedule of Amazon, Target, Walmart sales

The summer is heating up and so are the bargains being offered by major retailers for consumers seeking those sought-after items for the season.
Amazon, Target and Walmart have announced dates and deals for shoppers to mark on their calendars beginning in July. Here’s what you need to know.
Amazon
Why you should care:
Amazon’s annual Prime Day event occurs on July 8-11, and it’s a sale event exclusively for Prime members that happens in the summer and features deals on an array of products from clothes and electronics to toys, home goods, and pet supplies.

Consumers that don’t have a Prime account can sign up by joining Prime or starting a free trial to take part in the Prime Day deals. Amazon noted that becoming a Prime member is the only way you’ll be able to access deals and savings on Prime Day.
Target
Target Circle Week is happening on July 6-12 and includes three unique "Deal of the Day" offerings all week along with major bargains from the retailer.
Target Circle 360 members will receive first access to some of the biggest deals starting on July 5 and free same-day delivery.

The Minneapolis-based retailer shared in a release that teachers and students will get 50% off a Target Circle 360 one-year membership to help make prepping for the school year easy and affordable.
Some of the top bargains during the event include the following:
- 40% off Casaluna & Threshold bedding
- Up to 40% off tech & gaming
- 30% off tees, tanks, and dresses
- 30% off school uniforms
- 30% off select backpacks and school supplies
- 20% off Brightroom storage and organization
- Buy two, get one free on books, movies and music
- Spend $40, save $10 on toys
- Buy one, get one 50% off selected groceries including ice cream, coffee, tea, cereal, frozen meals & more
Walmart
Walmart’s summer savings event begins online at 12 a.m. ET on Tuesday, July 8, and in stores at local opening times. The retail titan’s bargains run through Sunday, July 13 on merchandise like electronics, home goods, fashion, toys, beauty products and back-to-school supplies.
