Amtrak: Northeast Corridor Will Run Through Weekend

PHILADELPHIA- WTXF - Amtrak's Northeast Corridor line will run "straight through the weekend," Amtrak spokesman Craig Schulz said at a briefing Friday morning. He cautioned, though, that fewer trains will run, and that if things become unsafe to operate they will be suspended.

Schulz' advice for riders was also to keep following Amtrak through social media, and should leave plenty of extra time for boarding if they do take trains.

"The number one message is to be safe, be smart," he said.
