Area schools closed due to weather-related issues

(WTXF) - Multiple area schools are closed Wednesday following a string of weather-related issues.

Chester High School is shut down for the second day in a row due to maintenance issues. School officials have not yet identified the specific problem, though teachers will still report to school for the day.

Gunning Bedford Middle School in New Castle County is also closed Wednesday as crews work to fix the heating. Students were sent home around 10 a.m. on Tuesday when the boiler stopped working. School officials ask that parents pay attention to social media for updates.

In Prospect Park, Interboro High School will be open Wednesday. This comes after classes were canceled Tuesday due to a busted pipe inside the building.
