Baby two-toed sloth's exhibit opens at Memphis Zoo
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX 13) - A baby Linne's two-toed sloth named Lua is settling in nicely to her new exhibit at the Memphis Zoo in Tennessee.
The zoo introduced Lua to the world a month after her birth back in March.
At the time, she was enjoying the company of her new best friend, a stuffed animal elephant.
At just under 1-year-old, Lua's exhibit opened to the public on January 4, 2018.
In a video posted on January 5, Lua snacked away on a carrot, seemingly unimpressed by the world's excitement at her progress.
Lua's parents are Marilyn and Sparky, and she was the first successful Linne's two-toed sloth birth at the zoo.
The sloths are also known as Linnaeus' two-toed sloth, southern sloth, or unau.
