A Delaware teen is in stable condition tonight after being shot before getting to his school bus early this morning.

The 15-year-old boy was shot in his arm and torso just before 7 a.m. near West 27th and North Van Buren Streets in Wilmington.

The victim is in the 9th grade at John Dickinson High School, according to school officials.

His father tells FOX 29 the boy ran to the school bus not knowing he was shot but the bus company tells us students noticed he was hurt. This prompted the bus driver to call dispatch who called police.

Police continue to look for the shooter tonight. There's a grassroots organization asking people to come forward with any information. The number to call is 302-576-3606.
