PHILADELPHIA - A Philadelphia man is facing charges after he allegedly shot a delivery driver during a scuffle over a double-parked car Thursday afternoon in Center City.
According to investigators, 31-year-old Corey Curtis was boxed in by a delivery driver picking up an order on 17th and Chestnut Streets just after 1:50 p.m.
Video surveillance shows the unnamed delivery driver knock Curtis to the ground with three blows to the head then get into his silver Dodge Journey, according to police.
Curtis is accused of pulling a gun from his waistband and firing into the car, striking the delivery driver three times.
Corey Curtis, 31, has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and other offenses.
Investigators allege Curtis then fled the scene in a white Kia.
A witness placed the shooting victim into their car and started to drive him to the hospital when he flagged down officers.
Police brought him the rest of the way to Jefferson Hospital where he was placed in critical condition.
Curtis surrendered to authorities on Friday and was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, and related offenses.
