PHILADELPHIA (WTXF) - Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy and several others could be charged in an incident that injured two off-duty police officers as early as Wednesday morning, according to sources. Those charges could include aggravated assault; a felony.
The incident occurred at a nightclub located on the 100 block of South 2 nd Street on Sunday at 2:45 a.m. The two victims, both 40-year-old, black, male off-duty Philadelphia Police officers, were inside.
An argument over the ownership of a bottle of champagne took place, which led to pushing and shoving at which point police say all four suspects engaged in a physical altercation with the first victim. He was then punched and knocked to the ground.
According to officials, the man was punched, kicked, and stomped about his body and head multiple times by all four suspects.
TMZ Sports has reportedly obtained footage of the bar fight video in which you can see LeSean McCoy's face as mayhem ensues in a brawl that left the two off-duty cops badly injured.
The second victim and security guards intervened and broke up the attack and then all parties were removed from the club.
The first victim took himself to the hospital where he was treated for a laceration to his right eye, broken nose, broken ribs, and a sprained thumb.
The second victim was admitted to the hospital where he received eight stitches over his left eye and is currently receiving treatment for a possible skull fracture.
The four suspects were identified through photographs by the victims and security guards.
Police were reportedly not called to the scene, according to sources. Also, it is unclear if the off-duty officers identified themselves as police.
McCoy has since hired an attorney.
