Sandrea's family and friends rallied with total strangers and community activists at the spot where she was killed in mid-May.

Police say she was hanging outside with her friends near her house when investigators say two men sprang out from an alley and unleashed 23 gunshots in 7 seconds.

At this vigil, there was a call to end the 'stop snitching' policy in the streets with an appeal made to the power of prayer.

"We know that anything is possible with God and the biggest thing is comforting this family and letting this family know that even when they don't see us they're still in our prayers," Jon Josey said. "And that's what's going to get them through these hard days and these troubling times."
