Convenience store robbery under investigation

Delaware state troopers are investigating a convenience store robbery that happened overnight.

They say a man entered the Canterbury Shore Stop on S. DuPont Highway at about 2:30am.

He approached the employee at the counter with a dark-colored jacket draped over his arm and demanded cash.

The clerk turned over money.

Then, the robber got into a tan or gold Chevrolet S10 pickup truck, and drove east on Irish Hill Road.

The employee wasn't injured.

The suspect was described as a between 5'5" and 5'7" tall. He was wearing a light blue baseball hat, white shirt, khaki shorts, black sneakers, and he may have been armed with a weapon in a black jacket.
