Cops:Teen kills mom, takes a shower, watches TV, then calls 911

(INSIDE EDITION) A Pennsylvania teenager walked into his mother's bedroom, stabbed her in the chest, strangled her with a length of rope, then watched television for a few hours before calling 911, police said.

He also took a shower, authorities said.

Jacob Taliaferro, 17, was charged with murder in Lebanon County Monday, but it was unclear whether he had entered a plea. He will be tried as an adult, police said.

He is being held without bail.

Taliaferro called 911 at 5 a.m., telling the dispatcher he had killed his mother, police said.

He was arrested at the home he shared with his mom, Lorrie Ann Demko, whose body was found lying on the floor with a "large laceration on her chest, just inside of her left breast," according to an affidavit of probable cause filed by investigators.

He allegedly told detectives he had "had killed his mother with a knife," according to the court document. "He stated that the knife was in the kitchen sink. He also stated that she has been dead for awhile (sic) and that he wanted to turn himself in," the affidavit said.

When questioned at a Palmyra Borough Police Department station, Taliaferro told officers he had used a kitchen knife to stab his mother, according to the document, and then strangled her with a piece of rope until she died. He also checked to make sure she had no pulse, the affidavit said.

The teenager said he then watched TV "for some time," took a shower and eventually called 911, the document said.

No motive was listed.
