The fallout from a viral video of a vulgar fan interaction at Sunday’s Eagles playoff game against the Green Bay Packers continues, as TMZ reports the Eagles fan has been fired from his job.

Video of the incident surfaced on social media shortly after the Eagles’ 22-9 Wild Card victory over the packers.

The Eagles fan has since been banned from future events at Lincoln Financial Field.

The backstory:

The Eagles hosted and defeated Packers in an NFC Wild Card matchup on Sunday afternoon. Shortly after the game, video began circulating on social media showing an Eagles fan taunting two Packers fans, including the person recording.

The video shows one of the fans celebrating a play on the field, before the Eagles fan leans down and begins speaking to her and calling her names, claiming she misunderstood what had happened on the field during that particular play.

When the man recording the video tells the Eagles fan to leave the woman alone, he repeats the repugnant slurs and keeps chiding the visiting fans.

According to sources, the team identified all parties involved and barred the Eagles fan from attending future events at the stadium. They were also working to send Packers merchandise to the Packers fan as a form of apology, according to a source.

According to TMZ, the Eagles fan was identified as an employee of BCT Partners, a consulting firm that specializes in diversity, equity and inclusion services.

What they're saying:

After the video surfaced, the company took to social media saying that they had been made aware of the video and denounced the behavior.

"As an organization that has always stood for inclusivity, the conduct displayed was completely unacceptable and stands in direct opposition to our company values," the company wrote in their first statement. "We have already begun a full investigation as a personnel matter to determine what actions will be taken. We sincerely apologize to everyone affected by this behavior and remain committed to fostering a culture of respect for all."

The company released another statement Tuesday evening, announcing that they had decided to ‘part company with the employee’ effective immediately.

"We condemn our former employee’s conduct in the strongest possible terms. This individual’s conduct and language were vile, disgusting, unacceptable, and horrific and have no place in our workplace and society. Such conduct is not who we are and not what we stand for."

The statement goes on to say that they can condemn their former employee’s actions, without condemning him, hoping that he can grow and learn from the situation.

"None of us deserve to be remembered for actions taken on our worst day. We have offered grace and support to our former employee. We hope that he will grow and we all can learn from this deeply disturbing incident. That’s what real inclusion is and does. That is also who we are and what we stand for."
