Eagles fan husband ditching Chiefs fan wife to watch Super Bowl in Philly

Talk about a house divided!

A die-hard Eagles fan now lives in the heart of enemy territory, and he’s married to a Chiefs fan. So he’s doing what any bleeding green birds fan would do, he’s leaving the wife at home and flying back to Philly to be with his people, but there’s more.

What we know:

"It's the two best teams playing each other and we won't be in the same room for it. The marriage will be on hold for 24 hours," said Dan Cohen, Eagles fan.

These newlyweds are serious about this year's Super Bowl matchup.

Dan cohen is from Moorestown, New Jersey and grew up cheering on the birds.

His wife of just over six months, Sari Cohen of Kansas City is a die-hard Chiefs fan.

"We try to keep it as loving and calm as we can," said Sari Coehn.

Dan has been living in Kansas City for the last five years., but he has no intention of being in enemy territory on Super Bowl Sunday.

"My family lives in the city. I will be flying out that weekend. Spend time with my parents and siblings and watch the game with them. She'll be in KC with her crew," he said.

"We both are very passionate about our own football teams. We both have a closet full of gear dedicated to our teams," she said.

With the way the playoffs were going for both the birds and the Chiefs, the couple knew there was a good chance their favorite teams would go up against each other for the Lombardi trophy.

"She got home from the Chiefs win at Arrowhead and we were like here we go again. Here we go again," Dan said.

Dan desperately wants the birds to bring home the "w.".

He was in Philly for the Eagles' win over the Los Angeles Rams in the snow with his dad as they advanced to the NFC championship.

"I already felt the energy of it during the playoff season. Really excited to be back in the heart of it all for Super Bowl Sunday," he said.

Even though these love "birds" are going to be in different cities, they do have an agreement and it's the same one they made two years ago for Super Bowl 57.

"We're going to have that no-talking rule for 24 hours. Policy the day of the game. Will you each accept the outcome, no ribbing? We did last time. I was obviously in a bad mood for a few days after the last one."

The two do have a bet. If the eagles win, Sari has to treat Dan to a weekend staycation at a nice hotel in Kansas City. However, if the Chiefs win…well that's not going to happen.

 Sorry Sari. Go Birds!
