Elderly woman killed in Quakertown boarding home fire ID'd
QUAKERTOWN, Pa. (AP/WTXF) - Authorities say a fire at a Quakertown boarding home has left an elderly woman dead.
The fire at the Bush House Hotel in Quakertown was reported around 8:30 a.m. Thursday and was extinguished a short time later.
Family members identify the victim as 82-year old Marcella Heights. They say she lived there for about a year.
The building had some smoke and water damage. But authorities said most residents would be able to return to their rooms later in the day.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
