FBI, police search for man wanted in string of robberies

The FBI and the Bensalem, Upper Moreland Township and Phoenixville Police Departments are seeking the public's assistance to locate Peter James Harkins III, 40, of Phoenixville, Chester County.

Authorities say Harkins is wanted for the Sunday robbery of a Pizza Hut in Phoenixville. He is also wanted for the Monday robbery of a Domino's Pizza in Willow Grove and the robbery Tuesday morning of a Santander Bank branch in Bensalem, according to investigators. Police say in all three robberies, he implied he had a weapon and brandished a concealed object at victim employees.

Harkins is described as 5'9" tall, 160 pounds, with hazel eyes, brown hair, and a brown beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray shorts. Police say he may be driving a white Chevy Silverado 3500 pickup with "Forcine Concrete" written in green on the side and PA tag ZDG-1143.

Anyone with information about Harkins or his location is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000. There may be a reward for information leading to his capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
