Federal court to hear shore dune project case
CAMDEN, N.J. (WTXF) - The Margate dune controversy is heading to federal court in Camden, Wednesday.
Neighbors have been very upset about this pop-up lake, which Monday's rain re-filled.
Last week, a state judge stopped the controversial sand dune construction project which was meant to protect the city from severe weather.
The project was put on hold for at least a week, allowing time for officials to clean up the area and determine next best steps.
The question now is who has jurisdiction.
People had complained the pools are bacteria-filled, and blocked vacationers from their beloved beaches during the height of the tourist season - showing them an active construction zone instead.
