Former Eagle Jon Dorenbos gets Super Bowl ring

Longtime Eagles long snapper Jon Dorenbos received his Super Bowl ring on Thurday.

The team shared video of Jon opening his ring with the caption, "This one's for you Jon Dorenbos."

The veteran special teamer spent 11 years in Philadelphia before he was traded to New Orleans. A New Orleans Saints team doctor discovered he needed surgery to treat an aortic aneurysm back in September and he underwent surgery at UPenn in October.

The long snapper won the hearts of fans in Philadelphia with his personality and magic tricks that led him to appear on America's Got Talent.

Dorenbos was invited to the Super Bowl by Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie.

"Had I played, I'd die. If you can't play in it, this is the next best way to enjoy it," Dorenbos told The Advocate . "Mr. Lurie called me and said he wants me to be a part of it, said I was here a long time and he said 'We're going to win this, and you're going to get a ring."
