SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (FOX 10) -- It was a scary ride for a foster puppy, after it was picked up and carried away by an owl Friday morning.

The incident happened in Scottsdale. The 12-week-old pup, named Latte, and her three siblings were in the yard of a foster family, and the foster mom let all four out for a potty break. Only three of them returned.

12 hours later, golfers at Troon Golf Club found the injured pup, dehydrated and weak, under a tree near the 16th hole. They were reunited thanks to a missing dog post on next door.

The puppy is recovering. and Foothills Animal Rescue is hoping for donations to help pay for the $4,500 vet bill.
