PHILADELPHIA (FOX 29) - Family, friends, and fellow firefighters will gather Tuesday to remember a Philadelphia firefighter who passed away while on duty last week.
Michael Bernstein, 46, died Wednesday after suffering a medical emergency at Engine 78 at Philadelphia International Airport.
Bernstein's company was dispatched to an assignment in the early morning hours. After he didn't arrive at the fire apparatus, his fellow members found him unconscious in the hallway. He passed away at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital.

Bernstein was a 23-year veteran of the department. He is survived by his wife, three children and parents.
