Gaudreau brothers honored by Flyers ahead of game against Columbus Blue Jackets

The Philadelphia Flyers paid tribute to Matthew and Johnny Gaudreau ahead of the team’s Saturday night game against Johnny Gaudreau’s Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Flyers invited the Gaudreau family to be a part of a ceremonial puck drop ahead of the game. A video tribute to Matthew and Johnny was played, to honor their dedication and work in making local hockey important in their communities.

Additionally, Flyers wore jerseys from Gloucester Catholic, the brothers former school, that had Johnn’s number 13 and Matthew’s number 21.

The brothers lost their lives after they were struck by an alleged drunk driver while they were cycling in Salem County a day before their sister’s wedding in August.
