(FOX 13) - A 12-year-old Oklahoma girl dreams of traveling the world, but she can't. She's fighting for her life, battling leukemia. So her family has come up with a unique way to help her see it all without leaving her home.
Aspen Kelly is asking for postcards from all over the country and around the world.
Her mom shared Aspen's request on Facebook last month, hoping to get one from every state and every continent.
"She would love to see a beautiful place, or something cool and exciting from other places she's never been to before," she wrote.
So far, Aspen has received 1,000 postcards -- including one from every state as well as 49 countries. And it's not too late to help Aspen celebrate her big day: Her birthday is September 1.
If you'd like to mail her a card, send it to:

Aspen even got a postcard from Tom Hanks. He took the time to send her a card from Greece, writing "I hope this arrives in time for your happy 13th birthday! Love you."
