A Bucks County Girl Scout troop helped to spread holiday cheer by filling backpacks with things like hats, gloves, scarves and blankets to give to people less fortunate.

"I never give up. Even if the hardest challenge come by, I never give up," said John Michael.

"I love it. I'm truly amazed, thankful and excited for him," said his mom Kathleen.

The Christmas giving flowed Boy and Girl Scout style in Penndel today as Marrazzo Companies gave their annual meal for the homeless. Girl scout Troop 21227 led the way giving away backpacks filled with essential winter supplies.

"We put in notebooks and socks and stuff," said a Girl Scout.

"They don't have anything to do and so people are going to have to give them stuff, and if they don't get it, they might not survive the winter and stuff," explained a second Girl Scout.

People were eating and good vibes flowed. But, the Girl Scouts were far from finished.

"We have an announcement!"

The girls adopted John Michael and his mother Kathleen, who struggled with homelessness over the last four years. John Michael was given tickets to see his idols at WWE SmackDown.

"They fight each other in the ring and they never give up," John Michael said.

And, mom Kathleen had even better news, if just for now.

"For the first time this year, he asked for a home. And we find out that we've been placed, temporarily," said Kathleen.

At the end of the day, the passion of giving isn't hard to find. It's written very plainly on the face of 10 and 11-year-old kids who do it with passion because they like the way it feels. Maybe we can all learn something.
