Good Day Philadelphia drops in on K.C. new station's live hit in New Orleans: 'Go Birds!'
Mike Jerrick and Alex Holley dropped in on FOX 4 Kansas City to share some Brotherly Love and Sisterly Affection.
PHILADELPHIA - Super Bowl LIX is still days away, but the Good Day Philadelphia crew is making sure Philly is well represented in New Orleans.
Mike Jerrick and Alex Holley dropped in on FOX 4 Kansas City's live hit from the French Quarter on Monday to share some brotherly love and sisterly affection.
What they're saying:
Mike and Alex noticed FOX 4 Kansas City reporter Abby Eden doing a live hit on Burbon Street during the 8 a.m. hour of Good Day Philadelphia.
Before he even introduced himself, Mike popped to say hi to the rival fans in Kansas City as only a Philadelphian would: "Go Birds!"
While the Eagles and Chiefs are pitted against each other for the second time in three years, Mike and Alex actually shared a strong connection to Kansas City.
"I love K.C.," said Mike, who explained that his first television job was in Kansas City. Alex, meanwhile, attended the University of Missouri.
The Kansas City-Philadelphia link is strong for Eden, too, who revealed that her husband used to work at Philadelphia International Airport.
Although Eden said her husband is not rooting for the Eagles in the Super Bowl, she said he considers Philadelphia his second home.
