Gritty special guest at Haverford Township Parade

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WTXF) - The new and wildly famous Flyers mascot, Gritty, has been making his way to various parts of the area.

Gritty took part in the Haverford Township Parade Saturday as the special guest.

Gritty joined the Haverford High School ice hockey team on their float.

The parade began at Manoa Shopping Center on West Chester Pike and traveled through to Skatium on Darby Road.

The Flyers play their home opener Tuesday against the San Jose Sharks at the Wells Fargo Center.
